What is Olvy?
Olvy is a release notes tool that allows you to create your changelog / release notes page. You also get a release notes widget ready to integrate into your application just after signing up.
With Olvy you can keep your users, internal team, and investors up to date with all the new features you’re shipping. Our customers have noticed increased user engagement, and more eyeballs for their feature release after using Olvy.
How can I integrate Olvy into my application?
You can either use the widget script, which you will need to add to your application, and the widget will be set up when the script loads (Similar to how you integrate tools like Google Analytics).
If you want more control you can use the Olvy API to integrate with your application. You get more control over what your releases widget looks like while allowing your team to manage the release notes from the familiar Olvy interface.
Can I use a custom domain?
Yes, you can connect your own custom domain to Olvy.
Do I need a developer to set it up?
No, you just need to sign up, and you get the built release page out of the box.
What are organizations?
When you sign up, you’re asked to create an organizationorganization. Think of this as a representation of your company or product. For each organisation a release page is created, which is available at <thesubdomainyouchose>.olvy.co
What are Projects?
Projects are a way to organise your releases inside Olvy. Your product is probably consumed via a combination of a mobile app, a web app, a public API, or integrations with other tools. Projects are a representation of those mediums. Your organisation on Olvy can have projects like “iOS App”, “Android App”, “Web Dashboard”, “Public API”, “Admin Center” etc.
Your users can filter your release notes based on these projects. By adding a project filter on your releases page they will only see releases for that project.
What if I want multiple release pages for all the different things I’m building?
If you want multiple release pages you will have to set up multiple organisations. Each organisation on Olvy is billed separately, so you need to buy multiple codes to get multiple release pages.
Do I have to create a separate account for every organisation?
No, you will need to create one account for one email. You can be a part of multiple organisations using the same email and access them using your one set of login credentials. You can switch between multiple organisations that you’re a part of by clicking on the organisation name on the top of the left sidebar.
